Want to start diving but don’t have much time? The Scuba Diver course is the perfect gateway to the world of recreational diving. This program teaches you the essential skills and basic knowledge to dive safely under the supervision of a professional. It is an ideal option if you want to start exploring the seabed and continue your training later.
What is Scuba Diver?
The Scuba Diver is an initial certification from Scuba Schools International (SSI) that allows you to dive up to 12 meters deep always accompanied by a diving professional. During the course you will learn: Basic concepts of diving theory, correct use of equipment, fundamental skills underwater, safety procedures.
This certification is part of the full SSI Open Water Diver course, so you can easily complete it later.
What does the course include?
The program is divided into three main parts:
1. Online and instructor-led theory
You will learn the essential concepts of diving: Basic safety principles, dive planning, equipment operation.
2. Confined water practice
In a pool or protected area you will practice skills such as: Breathing correctly with a regulator, recovering and emptying the mask, buoyancy control, basic safety procedures.
3. Open water dives
You will make 2 dives in the sea to put everything you have learned into practice.

Course duration
The course usually lasts 2 mornings from 9am to 2pm, Tuesday and Wednesday or on a weekend. We can also adjust the schedules to your availability.
What to bring
Normally you will only need: Swimsuit, towel, flip-flops or sandals, sunscreen.
All diving equipment is included during the course.
Requirements
To participate in the Scuba Diver course you must: Minimum age: 10 years, know how to swim and feel comfortable in the water, good general health (a medical questionnaire must be completed), parental authorization for minors.
